Therapeutic Therapies can be an important component of your health maintenance, or wellness plan. They help keep the body and mind functioning optimally. Promote well nourished, healthy skin, and improves circulation of blood & lymph. In addition, these therapies relax muscles and improve joint mobility, as well as encourage deep relaxation by triggering the relaxation response, reduces anxiety levels, improves immune system function, normalizes blocked energy flow, restores a calm mind and a feeling of well being!
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.
Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.
Reflexology ~ Feet, Hands, Face, Cranial & Auricular Therapy (Ear) The entire body is connected through zones (10). An illness or blockage in one of these zones can bring imbalance to the entire body. Stress and exposure to toxins can prolong this imbalance. By stimulating the reflex points, reflexology helps the body eliminate toxins and boosts the entire immune system. Reflexology also reduces stress and brings about a state of deep relaxation. In cases of specific health problems, reflexology can bring about health and healing. It activates the organs, promotes blood circulation, stimulates the glands, and relieves stiffness and pain in the muscle and skeletal systems. Reflexology can also help alleviate acute and chronic health problems such as migraine headaches, asthma and sinusitis. As well as many other disorders. All body systems can be worked through this modality. Reflexology is one of today’s most accepted healing arts.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) has been shown to alleviate a wide range of conditions. While the focus of CST is to uncover the source of the problem, symptom relief also is achieved. The length of time and number of sessions needed is extremely variable and depends, among other factors, on the complex layers of injury and trauma that may mask the original cause of the problem as well as the body’s defense mechanisms. Due to its gentleness and effectiveness, many people include CST as a complimentary component in their personal wellness programs. They report having more energy, sleeping better and being sick less often. Due to its influence on the functioning of the central nervous system, craniosacral therapy benefits the body in a number of ways. It is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease and alleviate a wide range of specific medical conditions including (but not limited to):
• Central nervous system disorders
• Stress and tension-related problems
• Migraine
• Fibromyalgia
• Traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries
• Post traumatic stress disorder
• Emotional difficulties
• Chronic back and neck pain
• Motor-coordination impairments
• Autism
• Orthopedic problems
• Headache
• Chronic Fatigue
• Scoliosis
• Temporomandibular joint dysfunction(TMJ)
* Craniosacral therapy has also proved effective in treating stress related dysfunctions and various sensory disorders.
Iridology is the analysis of the iris of the eye in order to determine the state of health of the individual. Iridology is based on the assumption that every organ in the human body has a corresponding location within the iris and that one can determine whether an organ is healthy or diseased by examining the iris. We generally use equipment such as a penlight and magnifying glass, or camera to examine a patient's irises for tissue changes, as well as features such as specific pigment patterns and irregular stromal architecture. The markings and patterns are compared to an iris chart that correlates zones of the iris with parts of the body. Details in the iris reflect changes in the tissues of the corresponding body organs. Dr. Bernard Jensen, states that "Nerve fibers in the iris respond to changes in body tissues by manifesting a reflex physiology that corresponds to specific tissue changes and locations." This means that noticeable change in the appearance of the iris will occur as the body experiences changes in organ health. For example, acute inflammatory, chronic inflammatory and catarrhal signs may indicate involvement, maintenance, or healing of corresponding distant tissues, respectively. We also look for signs in the iris that may indicate various other health conditions or weaknesses. Not two persons eyes will look exactly the same ~ health conditions are not the same.
